May 9 - May 15, 2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday!  I was presented with my first homemade card.  That's one that will get tucked away, for sure.  I also got to sleep in a little bit.  Ah, blessed sleep.  A full night of uninterrupted sleep is but a dim memory at this point.

Anyway...

Here's what we're working on this week:

Henry

Science Play! - Leaf Celebration - Good thing we planted all those trees!  Henry will be collecting leaves this week.  We'll examine their shapes, edges, textures, sizes, and colors.  If the wind permits, we'll put the leaves on a piece of construction paper and place it in the sun to make sun prints.

Who Am I? - Thanksgiving - Uh, yes.  Thanksgiving.  In May!  (Note to self for next year: pull all of the pages out of the workbook and rearrange them according to the calendar.)

• Recite the "Blessing before Meals" with Henry.  He's already got this one memorized, so it's a pretty easy week.

Still Starfalling.  We're also doing a bit of potty training.  It's going pretty well, but we're taking it slow.
